For over 30 years, Marlett, Wheeler & Co. Ltd. has been providing superior, personalized financial guidance to both individuals and businesses. Our expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth and complex services such as audits, financial statements and financial planning. Marlett, Wheeler & Co. Ltd. has successfully undergone several peer reviews, achieving unqualified opinions.

Mission Statement

Our objective is to provide high quality service in accounting, auditing and income tax planning and preparation to small businesses, with an emphasis on, but not limited to, the telecommunications industry. We do not serve publicly held companies, nor do we plan to do so. The firm’s future growth is anticipated to come from expanded services to existing clients and through the addition of new clients.

David Marlett

Dave is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Illinois. He has provided accounting, auditing, regulatory and tax services to independent telecommunications companies and other corporations, partnerships and individuals for approximately 30 years. He is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance. Prior to establishing Marlett, Wheeler & Co. Ltd., Dave’s professional career includes experience in the commercial lending department of one of the leading national banks in Springfield, on the accounting staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission and as a professional staff member of a local CPA firm.

Scott J. Wheeler

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Illinois. He has been with the firm since 2007 and is involved in all aspects of the firm’s accounting, auditing, regulatory and tax services. Scott has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a Master of Arts in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Prior to joining Marlett, Wheeler & Co. Ltd., Scott spent four years at the State of Illinois, Office of the Auditor General.
